A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR CAT

Nancy is her name
Snooping is her game
She starts out her day, Snooping, and ends her day, Snooping
She inspects EVERYTHING, EVERY day, even sometimes getting in the Fireplace, have to keep that screen closed. (oh, she wouldn't get in it when we have a fire)
She loves to "help" me type!
after all of her inspecting, and snooping, she heads for her favorite place for that nap, the window ledge, with all of the sunshine flowing in on her.
How could you get upset with something with a "sweet " face like that?

Any Ideas?

I need Ideas on displaying family photos....I printed out black and while photos (8x10) framed them..right now I have them displayed on a large bookcase , along with books.. I started out to make a family tree...after not being able to find exactly a "tree" that I liked, I ended up putting up the wallpaper that Lowes had(really not what I wanted, but said , O.K., I'll make it work..)caution: once you get this on the wall(even tho, it states that it is very easy to remove without messing up your wall) not is not entirely true...I used the "picture frames that they supplied with the Tree wallpaper, and when I decided it was not the look I was wanting, and tried to remove it, off came the paint, etc...a mess!..I love to display family photos,makes me happy to see the faces of my family every day , I just want "order in displaying them...

NEWS.....don't know to be happy or sad!

hey everyone, just letting you all know there will be a wedding soon. I'm gonna let ya'll guess which one of my guys is getting engaged and married this summer. I'm bittersweet about this. I say kids grow up before we are ready for them too. I'm not ready for the empty nest thing.Pray for me. Love,barbara

This picture was with a lot of old pictures at Mam-Ma's after she passed away, we don't know who the people were, but I thought this was a really great photo! love the old pictures...notice all of kids in the car...you can just imagine a family gathering , maybe on a spring or summer day, probably a Sunday, and all of the kids got in the car, probably the first car for the family, and someone said, take that picture...

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

Oh, how I love those Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!...one of my favorite form of Chocolate..I buy a bag of them, meaning to just eat one or two a day...well, no way, in about 3 days, THEY ARE GONE!, and I say, well, no more of that, and the next time we go to Walmart, I try to stay away from the candy isle, and sometimes I manage to do just that, and all Irvin has to say is "Do you want to get some candy?", and I, of course grab a small bag, and he reaches over and takes the small bag, and gets a big bag....(sweet man!), and I say, "oh no, I just need a little bag". well, he knows me, after 54 years of marriage...and my "sweet tooth", and he leaves the BIG bag in the buggy...so, of course, I don't want to hurt his feelings...When we get home, I "hide" my bag of Reese's way in the back of the pantry..well....as soon as I finish washing the supper dishes, and settle down for a evening of watching T.V., I find a excuse to go to the kitchen, and the Pantry and out comes that bag and well, I can't waste that money that went to buy that candy, well, you know how this ends...

Heart Dr. Appt.

Irvin had his ekg today during his Appt. with the Heart Dr...there had been no change from the last one, so that was good...We asked the Dr. about our options(he had found a few months ago the small blockage ), and at time, had told us to think about if Irvin wanted to have the cathazation or since he was doing fairly well , just not until he had the pain , etc...we talked to him further today, and since Irvin had (other than, what we consider about normal tireness, due to all the other health issues he has) no further issues going on, right now...he said that it would be safer to continue as is , unless he had pain, heavy feeling in his chest,and if that happened, to get in touch with him right away, and he would do the cath. immediately...so, we will take especially good care, (which, we do now) to see that , that hopefully does not happen...WE really do have to enjoy each day as it comes.....

"Surfing the Blogs"

One of my "Sleepless " nights, so here I am "Surfing the Blogs"....there is a lot to read there, very interesting news on all of them, some very useful and have learned a lot about the art of Scrapbooking, and someday really mean to apply it, and start a scrapbook of my own, I have the materials for it, just not the time..you are probably thinking , I should use the time I take "Surfing the Blogs" to start the scrapbook..no way, I enjoy the surfing too much!...only other "Surfers" know what I am talking about...I don't have the time during the day, but whenever I do have a sleepless night, it is relaxing to just turn on the pc, and get caught up with what fellow bloggers are doing and how they are feeling, and when they need prayer...

Hey , I Goofed on a couple of these. will post them again, (Sorry about that) top-Rachel-High School Band, Sarah- Cheerleader, Bottom- Stephen -younger age, Amy_Gamour Shot....I got into my "Big Box" of old pictures....look for others in the future..I can hear all of those groans!, but hey I have to try out my scanner, still trying to learn it...

Hey Girls

We went to eat at the new Mexican Restuarant Thursday...(Irene, Debbie, and Dianne) came to visit us(We had a fun visit), so we tried out the new place..very good food, and great service...The waitress was so nice, and as at the time, we were the only customers there, she paid a lot of attention to us..she told us about the new desserts they had...well, we ordered one of them, after our meal(didn't really know if we could eat it, we were all so stuffed), and took it home, to have with coffee...it was a carrot cake, layered with cream cheese, small pecan pieces, coconut...it was soooooo good, ...as it is so simple to make, i am going to make it soon...it is rich, so a small piece does it, that is unless you have a sweet tooth, like me...

missin y'all on the blog.....and thanks so much for the congrats..I know you are busy, but would love to see you both soon, it is tough times for everyone right now, but hopefully , it will get better ...just remember, "This Too Shall Pass"

Hey grandma how are ya'll doin? Wow 54 years! that is a long time for marriage I'd say. Congrats. On that and I hope ya'll had a real good one. Rachel and I will have to take ya'll out soon for a "late" gift lol. It gets toug sometimes though with me working on the weekends and her working during the week...So maybe we can get a day soon and make it happen. Thanks for all the Good Wishes< we had a good 54th Wedding Anniversary....Got a great report from the dr. for Dad, as I posted earlier, Corene drove us down to Houston, then we went out to eat for lunch, yummy Mexican food.....Dad gave me a Journey necklace, beautiful!... gave him a Big Kiss...

good report today!

We got a good report from Dad's lung tests today, there was no change, lung looked good, and he doesn't have to go back for that for a year, we go april 22, for the cll, ...we go 17th of this month to heart dr., and he will most likely make a ekg as usual, and discuss options on the small blockage there, ...he told Dad earlier that he was leaving it up to him as to what he wanted to do, as long as he takes care, he can live with this, he said could be scar tissue around the two stints they implanted a couple of years ago....but one down, and another to go, but "this too shall pass....

MD Anderson update

We went for Irvin's cll & Lung checkup today to Anderson's...we got the "Blood collection " report and it was Good!...we go next Wednesday for the lung report, we pray that will be good also...long day, but was so happy , to get that good report on the CLL..

the girls will"kill me", but these are pictures made at the studio where they made you look so Glamous, ...our First born , then our Daughter-in -law...actually, they are just as pretty, not all made up, and just as beautiful on the inside, sweet Christian women...they both have good , christian husbands, and wonderful children....(I have bragger's rights)

well I got the scanned set up , so now, I have to learn how to use it.....we are headed for Church in a few minutes, but this afternoon, I will get to it....I have to pick up some photopaper?, and do you know that in my directions, it does not show what kind of paper i use...I feel so stupid about this, but I WILL learn it.....o.k., upabove i said scanned, I know it is scanner...oh, well
