well, I ordered a scanner from Amazon, it came today....now I have to learn how to use it....I decided to wait til tomorrow to open the box, if I open it now, i will be up all night,trying to learn how to use it, but knowing myself, when I do lay down to go to sleep, I will be thinking about the scanner, and wanting to see it, and set it up, and using it...I just wanted something that I could put all of the old photos on the blog, have some really neat ones..so, hopefully, in the next few days, I will get "some smart", and learn this thing in the box.

update on eyes

Irvin is doing good on his right eye, dr. said he could go back to his normal activities...was very good news...and he took him off of 2 of his eye drops,...now we just have to give 4drops a day...he goes back in 2 wks. for an exam for his glasses....

update on eyes

Irvin said he is much better today, with his eye...we see the eye Monday, and probably he will drop one of the eye drops...we will be giving the drops for about a month, if it is like his right eye,..we have a good schedule worked out with that, charts, etc...and just soooooo happy that everything is better...we know that prayers are answered!!!!! p.s. up above, that is we see the eye Dr., Monday...in a hurry, sorry.

Hey, wanted to ask you all, I am thinking about starting a "Under Texas Skies" blog, will still have our "Ann's Corner", It has been a very good way to let all the family updated on the medical side, and to keep in touch, and we enjoy other bloggers stopping by too...this Texas blog, I am thinking , everyone can pitch in with maybe info on Texas, any bit of news of what is going on, or history info, anything Texas, and we know how proud we are of Texas, and love to "Brag"..hey let me know what you think, o.k.?...know you all are busy, but , this would be fun!...Now, you know I would expect your imput, just like we all imput on "Ann's Corner", and also what do you think of the name, I am open to suggestions.......as soon as your Dad, Grandpa gets better with his eye, will get started.....

BETTER NEWS TODAY

Things are beginning to look up, Irvin said he is seeing a little more clearly out of his left eye as of today, there is still a lot of clouding, and still blurry, but I suppose that will take a few days to clear out, at least that is what we were told yesterday...I was so happy when he said he was seeing a bit better!! ...and am thinking that, "THIS TOO SHALL PASS", ...and Thank you all SO much for all the prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday Update

We Went back to Irvin's Doctor today, and as I said I had my little printout from last night...The Dr. checked his eyes , after Irvin telling him that his left eye(the one that he operated on Monday) was still very blurry, and he was unable to see anything out of it, other than shadows) . He (the Dr.), checked the pressure, saying that there was still a small amout there, telling us to continue all drops, plus the drops he added Monday, and that he wanted to see him next Monday. That is when I asked him to please explain why, and how this happened, when he didn't have any trouble at all with the first eye ...He said that this is not common, but one out of 99 patients do have this to happen..We asked him to just let us ask him about what we had found on the internet, I took my printout, and asked him , if he thought by any chance the lens had dislodged, or the bag , being so thin had burst, etc...to every one of the questions I asked , he said , no, he just had the swelling of this eye, will be better, probably in a week, or so, being so casual about the whole matter...I told him, I didn't want him to think I was being disrespectable, but that at the same time, we wanted to know everything , that his eyes are precious to him, and us....Thank you all for your prayers, and may I ask you to keep praying for his eyes...

NEED PRAYER

As of tonight, Irvin's vision in the eye operated on today(left) is still very blurry, and at times painful, The right eye, when operated on, about 5 weeks ago came out so good, from the start, after the surgery...the Dr. that did the right eye is out on Baby Leave, so one of the dr's with the eye clinic did the surgery, of course , all of their Dr's are good....but for some reason, the results of the surgery is so different.....we are praying that tomorrow this will be different, and he will wake up able to see much, much , better....I went online, and researched, and printed out some of the problems that can occur after catarack surgery, and printed out a few pages, and highlighted some of the problems that sounded like what he going thru, I intend on taking this, and confronting his Dr. with this, (not in a hateful way), but the sooner we deal with this, the better chance for Irvin to save his vision in that eye.....Our eyes are so precious!!!!!!!

Irvin had the surgery today, and everything was good, til a while after we got home, and then he got a bad headache on top of his head, and the eye starting hurting, and then he couldn't see out of his eye, so I immediately called the eye clic number, they said to come down, and they started checking him right away, the pressure had built up in his eye, they gave him 2 pills for that, drops. the pressure at that time was 50, so the medication they used brought it down within a few minutes to 25, and they said should go down to normal this eve....his headache went away, and his eye felt better..we go back in the morn...the dr. said occassionaly that happens, and it comes on suddenly, without warning, ...he didn't have that problem with the first eye that was operated on..so hopefully, this won't happen again, at least the dr. said it shouldn't..you talk about scared, We were Scared!

I goofed up, but I thought that was Toby in the airplane costume, but he is so "handsome " in his cap, and I still haven't made a pic of Bo in his scarf, but hopefully, fri will be his day...I got to transferring info . from last years calender to about 5 of this years...I thought if I kept one handy in almost every room, that I could keep up with all of our appts...dr"s, etc...just trying to get everything as nee as possible where it should be, It is "funny", every year in Jan., I want to clean out dresser drawers, shread up old receipts, get everything in order, and until I get it all done, I am not happy!, and the calender thing is all part of the routine, oh well, I am a "October person", and I think it goes with the territory, ha WE are kind of like that....

Update

We got a day on Irvin's left eye catarack surgery..Monday, 19th...we have to be there at 8:15am, surgery will be anywhere to 1 1/2 hrs to 2 after we get there, if there is not a delay, hopefully will be back home by noon..he is so anxious, and I am too for his eyes to get to normal, and he can get his new glasses, or better yet, maybe he won't have to have glasses except for close work, or reading...would be great!.....well, needless to say, I have not got the counter yet, tried last night, but for some reason could not get it to install...me and cut and paste thingy do not do well, altho, I managed to install the smilebox scrapbook using that method, oh, well, guess we can do without the counter, til I get a chance to get back to it, just one of those things would like on the blog, why?, ha, ha

Hey yall! sorry I havent posted lately! Ive been running around like crazy! Well I had an awesome christmas break but it was too short as usual. I hope that everybody is doing well and I loved to read everything thats been goin on. Im very exited about my last semester of senior year! Makeover

Hey, it's a New Year, and we did a "sort of a makeover", We put the two big chairs that we watch t.v., where the blue couch was, works better for our "old" eyes /put a "loveseat" in/a picture where the mirror was/the mirror over the small hutch...we still have seating , and have extra chairs in the bedrooms that we put in when yall come to see us, which we HOPE is often and very SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
